How to Make A Hojicha Latte
Push 1/2 teaspoon (or more to taste) of Hojicha through a sieve into a cup or Shaker
Add up to 1 cup of water (If hot - optimum water temperature is no hotter than 70°C) and dissolve by stirring vigariously with a spoon or shake together in the tea shaker
Top up with hot or cold milk of your choice to make a Latte then stir again or shake with Tea Shaker to achieve a silky frothy finish.
Note - you can also make a Latte using milk entirely (no water)
Making a cup of Matcha has never been easier, especially when using our convenient Matcha Shaker.
If you don't own our Matcha Shaker simply follow these steps instead to make a Matcha Latte:
Push 1teaspoon (approx. 2 grams) of Matcha Powder through a sieve into your cup. NOTE: if you want a stronger flavour we recommending adding up to 2 Teaspoons of Matcha
Pour in around 30ml of hot water(no hotter than 80 degrees), just enough to cover the Matcha Powder.
Blend the Matcha and Water by mixing with a Bamboo whisk / Matcha Shaker or Electric Whisk to blend to get a better result)
Add 100ml milk to the dissolved Matcha & Water Mix
Add 1 teaspoon of sweetener (we recommend Maple Syrup) to taste (optional)
Larger serve? Just double the quantity of Matcha to 4 grams (2 metric teaspoons) and 200ml milk. Keep the water at 30ml so it doesn’t dilute.

HOME COMPOSTABLE PACKAGING:
Being as eco-friendly as possible is so important to us which is why all of our tea comes in 100% Plastic Free Home Compostable Packaging.
The triple barrier packaging of our tea pouches are ideal for storing Matcha as it locks in freshness and protects it from exposure to air, heat and light that can make Matcha appear dull and bitter.
Econic® packaging is made from three compostable films derived from sustainably-produced wood pulp and GM-free corn sources.
Each film has been certified to the European and American commercial compostability standards (EN 13432 and ASTM4600) and either the European or Australian home compostable standards: OK Compost Home or AS5810.
You can put your used Econic® bags in your own home compost or worm farm, containing heat, water, oxygen, soil and micro-organisms.
Compost trials have shown that Econic® bags can break down into small fragments in as little as 16 weeks.
Tip - cutting the bag down into smaller pieces before putting in your compost allows it to break down quicker. Our labels are also 100% home compostable so you do not need to remove them prior to composting.
Learn more in our Interview with Owen Embling, owner of Econic Pack where we source our bags.
How long does it take to produce a home compostable bag?
If a product's packaging says compostable, is it really home compostable?
