Store Your Matcha the Way It’s Meant to Be Stored

Your Matcha is delicate. Light, air and heat slowly dull its vibrant colour and smooth flavour — which is why proper storage matters.

These airtight, light-protective jars are made from premium Miron violet glass, designed to help preserve the freshness, aroma and integrity of your Matcha or Hojicha powder — so every cup tastes as vibrant as the day it arrived.

We recommend storing Matcha in the refrigerator, and these jars are perfectly suited for cold storage.

Care

To wash, it's advised to hand wash jar in warm water, then scrub inside with a bottle brush if desired.

To wash the lids, wipe them with a damp cloth, rather than submerging them in water.

Dry off with a tea towel or air dry.

Why Miron Violet Glass?

Violet glass (also known as biophotonic glass) is specially designed to block harmful visible light while allowing beneficial violet and infrared light to pass through.

In simple terms? It helps protect what’s inside.

Matcha is incredibly sensitive to light and oxygen. Exposure can dull its vibrant green colour, flatten its aroma and reduce that smooth, fresh taste you expect in every bowl.

Miron violet glass helps:

• Protect delicate chlorophyll and flavour compounds

• Slow oxidation caused by light exposure

• Preserve aroma and vibrancy for longer

• Support refrigerated storage without condensation issues

It’s why many premium herbalists and tea producers use violet glass for sensitive botanicals.

If you’re investing in high-quality, first-harvest Japanese matcha, it deserves storage that protects its integrity
