We just love trying new ways to use Matcha, it's so incredibly versatile as you can see by the recipes that follow!
We have a bunch of amazing easy recipes you can check out over on our recipes section of the website but for now, let's showcase 5 of our favourites!
1) BAKING
MATCHA BANANA BREAD (Vegan and Gluten Free)

Using matcha to create this amazingly moist bittersweet bread!
2 cup of gluten-free flour
2 tsp of matcha powder
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp pink salts
2 ripe bananas
2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup brown rice syrup
1/4 cup maple syrup
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 flax egg (mix 1 tbsp flaxseeds + 3 tbsp water)
3/4 cup light olive oil
Bake at 350F (175C) in oven for about 50-55 mins.
2) BREAKFAST
BLUEBERRY SPIRULINA SMOOTHIE BOWL (Vegan and Gluten Free)
This beautiful creation is from The Blissful Blueberry - what a masterpiece to start your day with for breakfast (or anytime of the day for that matter!)
Packed with the green goodness of Spinach, Spirulina and Matcha, your body will definitely thank you for enjoying it!

Ingredients:
1 cup spinach
1 tsp spirulina
1/2 cup coconut milk
1 frozen banana
1 cup frozen blueberries
1 tbsp chia seeds
1 tsp maple syrup
1 tsp Culinary Matcha green tea powder
Toppings:
Whatever you want, The Blissful Blueberry used:
granola
shredded coconut
hemp hearts
bee pollen
gogi berries
vegan dark chocolate
pansies
Directions:
Combine all smoothie ingredients in your blender or food processor. Blend until smooth and transfer to bowl. Serve with your favourite toppings and enjoy!
3) Desserts
CHOCOLATE CHIP MATCHA WAFFLES (Vegan and Gluten Free)
Matcha and Chocolate surprisingly go so well together!
Team them with buckwheat flour waffles and generous drizzles of maple syrup and voila, a decadent breakfast treat awaits!

Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups of Buckwheat Flour3 tsp our Culinary Matcha Powder
2 tsp Baking Powder
1/4 tsp Salt
3 Tbsp Coconut Sugar
1/4 Cup Vegan Chocolate Chips
1 1/4 cup Soy Milk (or any other non-dairy milk)
2 Tbsp Coconut Oil
1 Tbsp Maple Syrup
Pop a few strawberries on top and drizzle with maple syrup
